Seed Swap
The VPL is proud to once again host a seed library for our patrons. The seed library's new batch will be on site and available to patrons starting on January 31. Patrons can help themselves to full or partial packets and are also welcome to bring in varieites you have at home that you'd like to share with others. Seeds include vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers.
Showtime!
We are showing It Ends with Us, a book based on the popular Colleen Hoover novel this month. Bring whatever you need to feel comfortable. Free popcorn.
Puzzle Swap
Do you enjoy puzzles? Do you have ones you've completed at home? Bring in your puzzle and swap it for a new one! We will have a table set up in the community room during these days.
Do You Want to Build a Snowman?
Join us for a morning of snowmen crafts. All ages are welcome. Snacks provided.
Family Movie Night
We are showing the live action, Lilo and Stitch this month. Bring a blanket, pillow, and clear drink. Free popcorn. All ages are welcome.
MLK Kids Service Day
Join us on this no-school day to learn about the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the impact he made in our country and in the world. We will do a service project this day as well. All ages are welcome.
Book Bedazzling
Come join us to participate in this latest crafting trend. Bring your own book or choose one from our book sale. We will provide the glitz and glamour. This activity is for those aged teen and up.
Board Game Bonanza
Winter months means Game Days at the library! Join us for an afternoon of board games, card games, and movement games. All ages are welcome.
Winter Delivery Notice
Are you or do you know of someone who is hesitant to go out in the winter due to icy roads or sidewalks? The Library staff will gladly deliver books and materials to your door! Just call in your order/request and we will deliver after closing that day.
2026 Reading Challenge
Many of you will participate in a Reading Challenge this year. The VPL is here to help. We are encouraging patrons to consider challenging themselves to read a book in the month of January that falls into one of these categories: A Winter Themed Book, An Award-Winning Book, The First Book in a Series.
Noon Year's Eve
Join us at the Victor Public Library as we leave 2025 behind us and look forward to 2026. Tuesday December 30th 2025, 10:30-noon. Escape room, games, snacks and a balloon drop at noon! All ages welcome!
Holiday Lego Challenge
Join us on Saturday, December 20th from 1-3 as we make holiday themed builds for a fun filled challenge with our friends! All ages welcome. Snacks provided.
Family Movie Night
Family Movie Night showing The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Popcorn provided. Feel free to bring a clear beverage and a pillow/blanket to sit on.
Holiday Crafternoon
Crafternoon from the Cupboard. We’re cleaning out the cupboard and invite you to join us for an afternoon of crafting fun. All ages welcome! Wednesday, December 17th from 2:30-4:00pm.
CHRISTMAS CRAFT
The Victor Public Library is hosting a morning of crafting fun during the Old Fashioned Christmas celebration. Stop by on Saturday, December 13th from 9-12 to make your very own Christmas Around the World ornament. All ages welcome! Check out our Christmas Around the World Displays too!
Homemade Gift Night
Join us on Monday, December 8 at 6PM. Make your own scented sugar body scrub. Gift yourself or someone special. Please RSVP by Friday December 5th so we have enough materials for all.
Christmas Around the World
Christmas Around the World. Victor Public Library is creating a display for Old Fashioned Christmas with items that celebrate Christmas traditions from around the world. If you have something you are willing to let us borrow, please drop it off at the library before December 13th.
Thanksgiving Kid Craft
We will spend the morning creating a Thanksgiving craft that kids can proudly display at their family get togethers. All ages are welcome.
Showtime
We're showing Knives Out this month as this film is quickly becoming a Thanksgiving classic. Bring anything you'd like to be comfortable. Free popcorn. This event is for the library's teen and adult patrons.
Make Your Own Puzzle Day
We will be designing our own puzzles on this morning. Bring your creativity and join us as we continue to celebrate National Puzzle Month. All ages are welcome.
Family Movie Night
This month's showing will be Bad Guys 2. Bring your comfy blankets, pillows, and anything else you need to snuggle up for this movie. Free popcorn, but please bring a clear drink. All ages are welcome.
Porch Pots with teh Iowa County Master Gardners
This event is space limited and includes a $15.00 material fee. Patrons can join us for a morning of adult crafting fun as we build holiday decor for your home. Patrons must sign up by contacting the library and will be asked to bring your own pot. To sign up, please call 319-647-3646 or stop by.
New Provider Open House
Join us in welcoming Ashley Siefkas, our newest provider at Victor Family Medical Clinic providing care for all ages! We’re hosting an open house and invite you to stop by and get to know Ashley!
FALL in Love with Reading
Stop in for an evening of refreshments and conversations. All book lovers are welcome as this informal event will include an opportunity to chat with your fellow readers about the books you've loved and the ones that missed the mark.

Come down to ask your technology and support questions. We can help with library services such as Libby or Kanopy and may even be able to help you with your phones, laptops, and other devices
The VPL Puzzle Challenge Begins!
Patrons can put together a team of 2-4 people, take a 1000-piece puzzle from the library's shelves, work on it throughout the month and then submit their time for a chance to win a prize! Puzzle workers have all month to work on this challenge. See the flyer for more details or reach out to the library with questions.
