Patrons can put together a team of 2-4 people, take a 1000-piece puzzle from the library's shelves, work on it throughout the month and then submit their time for a chance to win a prize! Iowa Adventures with Tyler Sullivan

Join us for a morning featuring Tyler Sullivan, an avid traveler as he discusses his experiences in visiting 97 of the 99 counties and over 1200 Iowa cities and towns. He will also share his poetry based on his travel. All ages are welcome, but this event is probably best suited to an older audience.

Crafternoon

Join us for this early out Wednesday for an afternoon of crafting fun at the library. A "Walking School Bus" will be made available to any elementary aged student who wishes to be escorted to the library. These walking students should send a note to school and meet Raelene, our "bus driver" in the gym lobby. A second note should be sent or a text message sent to communicate pick up/walk home plans for after the activity as well. Parents can text or call Crystal at 319-310-8312. This activity is open for elementary aged youth and we can offer Silver Cord hours for teen volunteers.

Bring your favorite stuffed friend to the library this afternoon for crafts, stories, and snacks. You'll then leave your friend overnight in the library - a truly magical place. Keep an eye on our Facebook page to check in on your furry friends. Feel free to bring a pillow and blanket for your stuffed animal. All ages are welcome, but this event is geared towards our younger patrons and their families.
