Easter Egg Hung
Victor Lions Club invites all HLV Community School families to bring their children (pre-school through 5th grade) to the annual Easter Egg Hunt.
Stories in the Park
We're celebrating National Take a Walk in the Park Day by incorporating story time with some outdoor movement, art activities, and snacks. In the event of inclement weather, we'll move this party inside the library. All ages are welcome.
National Crayon Day
Come down to the library for a morning of crayon fun! Stories, activities and snacks. All ages are welcome.
Family Movie Night!
This month we're showing another Oscar nominated film, Zootopia 2! Bring pillows, blankets, or whatever you need to feel comfortable and a clear drink. We will provide the popcorn.
Crafternoon
Join us for this early out Wednesday for an afternoon of crafting fun at the library. A "Walking School Bus" will be made available to any elementary aged student who wishes to be escorted to the library. These walking students should send a note to school and meet Raelene, Cash or Memphis, our "bus drivers" in the gym lobby. A second note should be sent or a text message sent to communicate pick up/walk home plans for after the activity as well. Parents can text or call Crystal at 319-310-8312. This activity is open for elementary aged youth and we can offer Silver Cord hours for teen volunteers.
Adult Art Night and Craft Swap
Calling all crafters! Come for an evening of open art/craft creations and swap materials with your peers. Bring a snack to share and a craft project you are working on. Don't have a current project? No worries, we will open the cupboards to access to supplies. Following this event, the library will have a table set up from March 20-28 for people to take supplies/leave supplies

Try your luck at guessing the winners in several Oscar categories this year. Interested individuals can complete this ballot online or can stop by the library for a paper copy. The person that guesses the most correct wins will get a fabulous prize! The Oscars are televised on Sunday, March 15. Winners will be announced that night or the next day. Seed Swap
The VPL is proud to once again host a seed library for our patrons. The seed library's new batch will be on site and available to patrons starting on January 31. Patrons can help themselves to full or partial packets and are also welcome to bring in varieites you have at home that you'd like to share with others. Seeds include vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers.
Showtime!
We are showing It Ends with Us, a book based on the popular Colleen Hoover novel this month. Bring whatever you need to feel comfortable. Free popcorn.
Puzzle Swap
Do you enjoy puzzles? Do you have ones you've completed at home? Bring in your puzzle and swap it for a new one! We will have a table set up in the community room during these days.
Do You Want to Build a Snowman?
Join us for a morning of snowmen crafts. All ages are welcome. Snacks provided.
Family Movie Night
We are showing the live action, Lilo and Stitch this month. Bring a blanket, pillow, and clear drink. Free popcorn. All ages are welcome.
MLK Kids Service Day
Join us on this no-school day to learn about the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the impact he made in our country and in the world. We will do a service project this day as well. All ages are welcome.
Book Bedazzling
Come join us to participate in this latest crafting trend. Bring your own book or choose one from our book sale. We will provide the glitz and glamour. This activity is for those aged teen and up.
Board Game Bonanza
Winter months means Game Days at the library! Join us for an afternoon of board games, card games, and movement games. All ages are welcome.
Winter Delivery Notice
Are you or do you know of someone who is hesitant to go out in the winter due to icy roads or sidewalks? The Library staff will gladly deliver books and materials to your door! Just call in your order/request and we will deliver after closing that day.
2026 Reading Challenge
Many of you will participate in a Reading Challenge this year. The VPL is here to help. We are encouraging patrons to consider challenging themselves to read a book in the month of January that falls into one of these categories: A Winter Themed Book, An Award-Winning Book, The First Book in a Series.
Noon Year's Eve
Join us at the Victor Public Library as we leave 2025 behind us and look forward to 2026. Tuesday December 30th 2025, 10:30-noon. Escape room, games, snacks and a balloon drop at noon! All ages welcome!
Holiday Lego Challenge
